It was a blast planning a promotional video for Excel Christian Academy in Cartersville, GA. The idea was to create something which included kids of all ages attending their academy….from babies and toddlers in the Early Learning Center, to elementary and middle school age kids through young adults graduating from high school.

We wanted to show the kids having fun in a learning environment, with smiles on their faces, jumping with instruments in hand, running, playing sports….fun stuff.
We were able to capture scenes from all of the school’s athletic teams in just one day…..thanks to an organized effort on the part of our scheduling team. One of the many reasons we’re slowly becoming the best video production team in Atlanta.

The school is already well known for their attention to academics in the region, so we thought a good promotional video would give viewers the impression that real students actually like going to school there. No actors or actresses were hired.
We just captured real kids on an actual school day.
The ECA faculty members (namely, Principal Wesley Roach) were accomodating and flexible….adapting their school day to make some of our spontaneous creative ideas happen. Shooting nine different scenes in one day was a challenge that required extensive planning and forethought. Thanks to our talented production crew, we accomplished our goals on time and on schedule.
It was fun to test drive the Sony F5 camera on this shoot. We’ve used its predecessor (the sony F3) on quite a few projects, but this was our first time utilizing the F5.
The factulty and students of Excel have a bright future ahead of them, and we’re excited to work with them again on future projects! Check out the finished video below:
